A new year and a new name for LBC’s sister station LBC News 1152 – to LBC London News.
The medium-wave station simulcasts for 12 hours a day with LBC on 97.3FM, but from 7am till 7pm on weekdays, it provides a rolling news service in Greater London on AM, DAB, Sky, Virgin Media and online. Global says LBC London News offers “News, travel and weather in 15 minutes, every 15 minutes.”
Global confirmed the name change to RadioToday but did not have any further comment on the new branding.
The current schedule looks like this:
Monday to Friday
7am – 7pm: Live News Travel & Weather for London
News, travel and weather in 15 minutes, every 15 minutes.
7pm – 7am: As LBC
Saturday
7am – 6pm: Live News Travel & Weather for London
News, travel and weather in 15 minutes, every 15 minutes.
6pm – 7am: As LBC
Sunday
7am – 5pm: Live News Travel & Weather for London
News, travel and weather in 15 minutes, every 15 minutes.
5pm – 7am: As LBC
