The Bay has been acknowledged for its special programmes during the flooding and extreme weather over the weekend.
Speaking in Parliament, Morecambe MP David Morris thanked the station for their broadcast during the power cuts in Lancaster, of which The Bay also suffered from. The station, based riverside on St Georges Quay, was also flooded on December 5th.
But as soon as the station returned to air, it set up a temporary studio on the first floor of its offices, and provided continuous news and information for North Lancashire and South Cumbria.
The Bay is now also advertising for an evening show presenter – to host a live show from its studios each evening rather than the current pre-recorded output.
