Bauer Media’s Magic AM Network is hosting its second annual ‘12 hours of Christmas’ auction today to raise funds charity.
The one day on-air auction started at 8am and continues through to 8pm, live all day across the Magic AM network with support from Mike Read, Limahl, Shakin’ Stevens and Tony Blackburn.
Last year, the auction raised £33,000 but there are twice as many items this year so bosses are hoping to raise more, with all money going to the Cash for Kids Mission Christmas appeal.
The items up for auction include Ant and Dec’s suits worn on Britain’s Got Talent complete with a set of script notes, Susan Boyle’s dress worn on the Oprah show in the US, behind-the-scenes tours of the Emmerdale and Hollyoaks sets and a trip to Sharm El Sheik.
Mission Christmas aims to support underprivileged children throughout the UK and distributed over £5.1 million in cash, toys and gifts during Christmas 2011.
