Programme Manager appointed for Union JACK


Giles Gear has been appointed Programme Manager of the national DAB station Union JACK.

He has been working on the JACKfm and JACK2 brands in Oxfordshire, Surrey and Portsmouth before now.

Giles will be reporting to Ian Walker, co-founder of Union JACK and will also be working closely with Union JACK’s Commercial Content Director, Katherine Knapp, to expand the brand’s listenership and commercial base.

The award-winning team in Oxford have a history of ripping up the radio rulebook, and I look forward to continuing to do so with Union JACK. Tally ho!”

    I wonder if this means the station won’t be a non-stop music channel for much longer?
