American company INRIX, which bought TrafficLink and parent company ITIS Holdings in 2011, is rolling out its UK traffic software worldwide.
Regis, also known as INRIX Radio, is in use today by most radio stations in the UK and is now available across America in 99 major cities and 27 major European cities.
The software integrates both traffic incident and cause data to enable the production of customised traffic news stories for radio broadcasts.
It’s now part of the INRIX Digital Media Suite which also includes services for television stations.
“This opens up a whole new market for traffic reporting,” said Nick Simmons, Vice President and General Manager of Media, INRIX.
“For the first time, local media have access to turnkey, professional services that deliver valuable traffic insight and inventory with just a few clicks.”
The new Media Suite will be on display at RadioDays Europe in March.
