Radio expansion is on the cards at Bauer Media with its second purchase in a month, having just bought Radio Expres in Slovakia.
Rádio Expres, previously owned by American media company Emmis Communications has a market share of 20%, making it the most listened to station in the country.
“We are pleased that we can build on our radio portfolio; we see radio as a core business of the Bauer Media Group, “said Dr. Eckart Bollmann, Member of the Group Executive Committee.
“Rádio Expres is a hugely successful station with a great contemporary format which is especially strong in the key target group of 20 to 49 years.”
Bauer Media owns 42 radio stations in the UK, and has interests in stations in Poland and Germany. The company bought Planet Rock earlier this month for an undisclosed sum.
