Free Radio has reported that 10,000 walkers are now already signed up for the Walk for Kids events which take place this spring.
The four walks will be held over the next few weeks across the West Midlands, in aid of a host of local child-related causes. Since the radio stations reintroduced the Walks in 2010, over £1.5Million has been raised, which the group says is one of the most successful of its kind in UK radio.
The Birmingham event has established itself as one of the largest charity activities in the City’s calendar and will be the first Walk for Kids event on May 19th, and potential walkers are urged to sign up at the station’s website.
Further events through June and July take place in The Black Country, Warwickshire and Worcester.
