The two radio categories at the annual Television and Radio Industries Club Awards were given out yesterday, with BBC Radio 2’s Chris Evans and Heart’s Emma Bunton named as winners.
Emma Bunton won the Digital Radio Personality beating Chris Evans and Scott Mills in the category, whilst Chris Evans won Digital Radio Programme.
Emma co-hosts London’s Heart Breakfast show with Jamie Theakston and also presents her own weekend show – ‘Celebrate Saturday’ – on the Heart network.
Emma told RadioToday.co.uk: “I am so happy to have won Radio Personality of the Year at The TRIC awards. I love being part of Heart and I couldn’t have done this without my radio husband Jamie Theakston and my Heart team!”
