XFM Scotland launches with Biffy Clyro

Scottish band Biffy Clyro had the first song played on XFM Scotland with Who’s Got A Match as the Global Radio brand returned to the country this morning.

Breakfast presenter Fraser Thomson spoke the first words on the station: “Morning Scotland – XFM is back!”

During the first show he introduced listeners to the new station, which replaces Real Radio XS. In the first couple of hours he had a chat with new drivetime host Jim Gellatly and announced details of a gig organised by the station at King Tuts with Biffy Clyro.

XFM was last on-air in Scotland from 2006 to 2008 on 105-106FM.
