UTV Media has promoted Scott Taunton, Managing Director, UTV Radio (GB) to Chief Operating Officer.
He’s been appointed to the new role ahead of the launch of the new UTV television channel in Ireland on January 1st 2015, and has additional responsibility for generating television revenue across sales
offices in Dublin, Belfast and London.
Also, Norman McKeown, Group Finance Director, has assumed responsibility for subsidiary digital companies Tibus and Simply Zesty following the completion of the Group’s restructuring of its New Media division to focus on broadcasting.
Scott was appointed Chief Executive Officer of the radio division in 2005, replacing Kelvin MacKenzie.
