Tom Ravenscroft to exit BBC Radio 6 Music as Mary Anne Hobbs returns

Tom Ravenscroft will leave 6 Music at the end of May after 13 years, marking the end of his New Music Fix Daily and The Ravers Hour shows.

His departure is part of a range of new programmes for the coming months at the station as Mary Anne Hobbs returns as previously announced with a brand-new show on Sundays from 6-8pm, starting 8 June.

Her programme will feature conversations with musicians and offer a unique experience for listeners.

Tom Robinson will continue hosting Now Playing @6Music on Sundays, and will present a series of specials for the station’s annual Loud & Proud season.

Tom’s series, focusing on LGBTQ+ voices, will air from 2-5 June. He will also fill in for other presenters during the month.

Deb Grant will be joined by Nathan Shepherd as her new co-host for New Music Fix Daily starting 2 June.

Nathan, who will continue presenting Indie Forever on Fridays, brings his enthusiasm for new music to the show.

Listeners can expect coverage of the Primavera Sound festival, including interviews and live performances, during Nathan and Deb’s special broadcasts from the event.

Samantha Moy, Head of BBC Radio 6 Music, said, “We’re thrilled to welcome Mary Anne Hobbs back and look forward to Nathan joining the team.”

Other upcoming highlights include exclusive editions of *Artist in Residence: AAA*, with Bon Iver and CMAT, coming later this year.
