Bedford Radio to hold an open day during Community Radio Week
Bedford Radio is holding a special open day for its local community as part of Community Radio Week.
Taking place on Saturday 7th February, the event is designed to give people a behind-the-scenes look at how their local radio station operates and how it supports the town.
The station will host live broadcasts throughout the day, alongside interviews and interactive activities aimed at showcasing the role local radio plays in connecting people, organisations and stories across the area.
Visitors will be able to meet the volunteer presenters, hear from local voices, and take part in workshops offering insight into broadcasting, production and volunteering opportunities.
Station Manager Rebecca Steers said: “We want Bedford Radio to be part of the heart of the local community.
“Our studios are based in the town, and we want to invite people to get involved, have a look and support what we do.
“The station wouldn’t be possible without all its volunteers, all passionate about Bedford and shouting about all that’s great about the town.”
Further details about the open day are available on Bedford Radio’s website.
