Ant & Dec to host World’s Biggest Music Quiz for Cash for Kids Day
Bauer’s Cash for Kids Day this year will see Ant & Dec fronting a UK wide simulcast music quiz aiming to set a world record.
The hour-long event will air across all Bauer stations from 1pm on Thursday 30th April. The broadcast will attempt to break the Guinness World Records title for the largest online quiz, with listeners invited to play along live after signing up online.
Presenters from across Bauer will take part, including Ken Bruce, Chloe Burrows, Dave Berry, Fleur East, Tyler West, Simon Mayo, Gok Wan and Joe Elliott.
The quiz is based on PopMaster and forms part of the charity’s annual fundraising day, which supports children and young people across the UK.
Ant said: “We love a good music quiz, so the chance to be part of an event like the World’s Biggest Music Quiz for Cash for Kids Day is right up our street.
“The fact we’re also attempting a world record for the most people taking part in an online quiz makes it even more exciting!”
Dec added: “We’ve been Cash for Kids patrons for over two decades now and this charity does incredible work supporting children and families.
“Bringing everyone together for something fun while raising money for such a brilliant cause is really special. Hopefully loads of people will get involved and help us make world record history.”
A minimum £5 donation is required to take part, with proceeds supporting Cash for Kids Impact Grants for young people affected by poverty, illness or additional needs.
Managing Director Sally Aitchison said the event would take place “on a record-breaking scale” as the charity marks its biggest fundraising day of the year.
She added: “Ant & Dec have been our patrons for over twenty years and we’re thrilled that they’re supporting us on what will be our biggest ever Cash for Kids Day this April 30th.”
Registrations to take part in the World’s Biggest Music Quiz are open on the Cash For Kids website until midnight on Wednesday 29th April.
