First speakers announced for Radiocentre’s Tuning in North

Tuning In North will take place at Stoller Hall in Manchester on Wednesday 22 April, focusing on how radio and audio can support advertising and brand growth.

The first speakers for the morning conference have been announced. Radiocentre chief executive Matt Payton will open the event with a market overview, reflecting continued strength for UK commercial radio following record advertising revenues last year.

A session on long-term partnerships will feature B&M’s Head of Marketing, Shelley Robinson and Emma Brown from Bauer Media’s Cash for Kids. They will discuss their Mission Christmas campaign, which has raised £100 million and supported more than two million children over 12 years.

Insight specialists Louise Twycross Lewis and Sophia Field from PHD will present new research from their Culture Currents study. The session will explore how anticipation influences consumer behaviour and how audio can help brands build that effect.

Charlie Brookes from Bauer Media Audio UK will outline developments in digital audio through the AudioXi platform, including its role in connecting advertisers with audiences across radio, podcasts and streaming.

Matt Payton said: “Audio continues to offer huge potential for advertisers. From the latest research to inspiring case studies, Tuning In North will showcase how the medium can amplify advertising and drive results for brands everywhere.”

Tuning In North will take place on the morning of Wednesday 22 April. Tickets are free to brands, agencies and Radiocentre members based in the area but are limited. Request a place here.
