AIBs 2026 open for entries across global media journalism

AIBs 2026 entries are now open to audio, video and digital producers worldwide.

The annual competition from the Association for International Broadcasting will again recognise journalism and factual production across multiple platforms, including radio, podcasting and digital-first content.

Now in its 22nd year, the AIBs continue to attract entries from broadcasters, production companies and independent producers, offering a global snapshot of how stories are being told across different regions and formats.

The awards include 21 categories covering audio, video and digital work, reflecting the range of modern media output from linear broadcasting to streaming and on-demand services.

Chief Executive Simon Spanswick said: “The role of journalism has never been more vital. Across the world, journalists and programme-makers are working under pressure to deliver accurate, trusted and insightful reporting.”

Entries are open in any language and can be created for local, national or international audiences, with past winners including major broadcasters, independent producers and digital publishers.

Producer Clare Fuller said the awards reflect both editorial standards and creative approaches across the sector, with organisers preparing to welcome finalists to London later this year.

The deadline for entries is 3rd July, with winners announced at a gala event on 20th November in London.
