Global expands YouTube advertising sales offering

Global will now directly sell advertising across its YouTube video network for the first time.

The move gives advertisers access to video campaigns around Global podcast brands including The News Agents, My Therapist Ghosted Me and Up To Speed, alongside content from LBC, Capital and The Fellas Studios.

Global says the addition of premium video means it is now the only UK media owner offering audio, outdoor and premium video advertising together.

The company has also launched a dedicated video sales team, led by former Channel 4 executive Fatima Dowlet, who joins as Director of Video Sales.

Group CEO Simon Pitts said: “Global is now home to some of the biggest podcast shows on YouTube.”

He added: “We are now the only UK media owner where advertisers can access premium audio, video and outdoor at scale, all in one place.”

Global said its YouTube content network reaches more than 16 million subscribers and delivers 150 million monthly views across podcast brands, creator channels and radio video content.

The company already works with YouTube on live event streaming, including Capital’s Summertime Ball and Jingle Bell Ball broadcasts.
