Octave has added streaming inventory from four audio providers to widen advertiser access across connected listening.
News UK’s audio visual advertising platform has signed agreements covering Audiomack, Sonos, Boom Radio and CountryLine Radio, adding third party audio inventory alongside its own radio and podcast brands.
The new arrangements include an exclusive deal with Audiomack, through AdsWizz, for Octave to represent its UK advertising inventory. Sonos smart speaker advertising inventory will also be represented through AdsWizz.
Boom Radio’s streaming inventory joins the Octave portfolio, bringing the Boom Radio family of stations into the platform’s audio offer. CountryLine Radio, the UK country music station available on DAB, apps and selected streaming partners, is also included.
Octave’s own audio brands include talkSPORT, Virgin Radio UK, Times Radio and The Times and Sunday Times podcast roster. The company says the new agreements form part of a programme to build a wider network of third party audio partners around that core portfolio.
Russell Pedrick, Managing Director, Octave, said: “We’ve got a valuable core of our own audio brands such as talkSPORT, Virgin Radio and Times Radio, and these partnerships help us to build on that with additional reach into valuable and engaged audiences.”
Paul Brown, VP, European Business and Operations, AdsWizz, said the agreements would give advertisers “a powerful way to reach engaged, diverse audiences across the UK”.
The deals follow the announcement of Octaveai, News UK’s automated audio advertising creation and optimisation platform, which is designed to help brands create and optimise audio creative across Octave’s inventory.
