Trevor Nelson MBE has received the TRIC Special Award at this year’s event, recognising his broadcasting career across radio and television.
Ken Bruce has been named Radio Music Show winner, beating breakfast shows from Capital, Greatest Hits Radio and Heart in the public vote.
The Radio Music Show result gives Ken another TRIC success after his programme was recognised in 2024. His show remains on Greatest Hits Radio following his move from BBC Radio 2 in 2023.
Nick Ferrari won the Radio Talk Show category, ahead of talkSPORT Breakfast, talkSPORT Drive and Woman’s Hour.
The audio categories also included a win for Staying Relevant in Podcast, with the show hosted by Sam Thompson and Pete Wicks beating Celebrity Traitors Uncloaked, Parenting Hell with Rob Beckett and Josh Widdicombe, and That Peter Crouch Podcast.
Elsewhere, GB News Breakfast won the News category, while A Place in the Sun, Adolescence, Clarkson’s Farm, 24 Hours in Police Custody, Come Dine with Me, The Celebrity Traitors and Emmerdale were among the television winners.
Clare Balding won Sports Presenter, while Jeff Hordley was named Soap Actor for his role as Cain Dingle in Emmerdale.
