Cornwall’s Rewind Radio will launch its new sister station, Rewind Radio Retro, in October.
Playing music from the 60s, 70s and 80s, the station’s presenters will include Matt Shepherd on Breakfast, who spent 32 years at BBC Radio Cornwall.
Matt said: “I’m so excited to be at the start of something new and I can’t wait to wake up Cornwall with the best music ever made.”
Following Matt on the weekday line-up are Lacey B on Daytimes and Mark Dodson on Drive Time.
Saturdays will include Adam Carpenter, Martin Bailie and Lee Chater, while Sundays will include Liam Shoesmith, Matthi Clarke and Adam Carpenter.
Martin Bailie, who has been broadcasting for 42 years mostly at BBC Radio Cornwall, said listeners will recognise every song and be able to sing along.
Rewind Radio Retro is designed to expand the station’s offering, with the original Rewind Radio shifting towards music from the 1990s to today.
Managing Director Richard Woods said the new station is the next step in their journey, to serve every generation of music lover and strengthen local radio in Cornwall.
He added: “We’re also proud to have expanded our team with some highly experienced presenters whose talent, warmth and reassuring voices add real gravitas to our output across the county.”
