Notorious B.I.G week on 1Xtra

To mark the release of Notorious, the forthcoming biographical film about the life of the American rap artist, Notorious B.I.G, BBC 1Xtra is running a week-long celebration of his life.

Notorious Week, which kicks off on Sunday 8 February 2009, features interviews with the cast, film reviews, musical tributes and an exclusive Question and Answer session with Biggie's mother, Voletta Wallace.
The station has also commissioned a special musical tribute to the rapper.
Additionally DJ Seani B has created a "Biggie Smalls Small 5 minute mix" which 1Xtra fans can download from BBC online this weekend.
Other highlights include The Little Biggie Quiz in which two DJs go head to head in a Biggie Know It All quiz and a Basement special made up from tracks that Biggie had sampled.
