Raining tickets at Radio Aire

On Valentines Day 96.3 Radio Aire dropped nearly 1000 balloons filled with prizes on local shoppers, including a star prize of a diamond ring.

People in the Merrion Centre in Leeds had to wait for the balloons to be dropped, catch them, then pop them to see what was inside. It was anything from MP3 players, cinema tickets or a diamond ring.
Nick Babb from 96.3 Radio Aire who was hosting the event said “I can’t believe how many people were waiting on the balloons to drop, you could see everyone wanted that diamond ring and would do anything to get it.
I thought this was a great event and kind of wish I could have joined in with the fun!”
