Five year extension for Express

Portsmouth and South East Hampshire’s community radio station 93.7 Express FM has been granted a five year licence extension by Ofcom.

The news means the station can broadcast until at least March 2016.

Station Director, Cheryl Buggy: “Express FM is such a valuable asset to Portsmouth and South East Hampshire. Thanks to the diversity our community license allows us to develop and our dual purpose as a radio station and training facility, we are able to offer people of all ages the chance to gain life skills and radio experience that are unparalleled."

Operations Manager, Rob James: “Since its inception, Express FM has grown from strength to strength and with the news of our renewal, it has only stoked the fire for us to carry on getting bigger and better.”

The station was awarded a licence in the [link=https://radiotoday.co.uk/e107_plugins/wrap/wrap.php?4]first round of community radio awards[/link] in June 2005.
