Radio 1 mid-morning presenter Fearne Cotton has co-presented an hour on the BBC local radio station for Cornwall ahead of taking her own show to the county later this week.
Fearne’s mid-morning programme will come from the Boardmasters event in Newquay on Friday, and the hook-up with Radio Cornwall was set up by a former presenter at the station who’s now a Radio 1 producer.
Cotton took to the air on Laurence Reed’s lunchtime phone-in to get some advice from locals on things like places to visit, where to eat and what to say when she visits the county.
Former Radio Cornwall presenter Alex Full – nicknamed ‘Cornish’ – set up the appearance with his former colleagues.
Alex said: “Cornwall and all things Cornish play quite a big part in Fearne’s show on BBC Radio 1, mainly because I’m obscenely Cornish and love talking about it.”
He added: “Fearne co-presented an hour of Laurence’s Lunchtime Phone-in which she described as the most hilarious and random hour of her life.
