Live music at Radio Scotland

The foyer of BBC Scotland's new headquarters at Pacific Quay in Glasgow is to be the venue for a new series of music gigs. Between 10 and 14 September, each of the station's evening music shows will host a live concert in the new, state-of- the-art building which officially opens later this month.

Every night, the Iain Anderson Show will be live in the foyer from 10.30pm to 12.30am. The line-up during the week includes: Donald Shaw and Karen Matheson and Kris Drever (Monday); Endrick Brothers and Kirsty McGee (Tuesday); David Ferrard, The Nimmo Brothers and Fraser Speirs (Wednesday); Roddy Hart and Julie Fowlis (Thursday); String Driven Thing and Mick Hanly (Friday).

Here are details of the full line-up:

Monday 10 Sept: Vic Galloway will present Emma Pollock and The Royal Wee.

Tuesday 11 Sept: Mary Ann Kennedy introduces Rise and Doug, Junction Pool and Jo Mango for the Global Gathering.

Wednesday 12 Sept: Stephen Duffy presents Martin Taylor and Alison Burns, plus Radio Scotland Young Jazz Musician of the Year, Alan Benzie. Live from the Jazz House.

Thursday 13 Sept: Archie Fisher hosts Catriona McKay, the Lori Watson Three and the Rory Campbell Trio. All live for Travelling Folk.

Friday 14 Sept: Ricky Ross welcomes Beth Nielsen Chapman and Benny Gallagher to Ricky's American Tunes.
