Stations ban X-Factor single

Radio stations owned by Town and Country Broadcasting in Wales have banned the winning X Factor single by Scottish Leon Jackson. Listeners to Bridge FM, Swansea Bay Radio, Radio Carmarthenshire, Radio Pembrokeshire and Scarlet FM want a re-count after it was revealed Welsh Rhydian missed out on the winning prize.

Programme manager, Gareth Davies told "Our radio station presenters have been inundated with calls suggesting that during Saturday’s X Factor their votes for Welsh favourite Rhydian supported by local Neath diva Katherine Jenkins were not able to be counted as lines were jammed.

"As a result until justice is done, we’ve decided not to play the winner’s single on our group of stations".
