Northsound 1 presenter Jenny Laing dropped the beer and chocolate this weekend to pull on her running shoes to take part in the 10k race at the Run Balmoral 08 event.
As one quarter of Team Northsound, Jenny was joined by managing director Ken Massie and sponsorship and promotions executive Andrew Youngson, as well as her friend Leni Fraser.
Broadcast Journalist Rachel Davidson and Karen Barlow from Northsound’s advertising team – otherwise known as Puff and Pant – also ran the 5k race.
The team were raising money for the station’s listener charity Cash for Kids, which supports children and young people in the North-east.
On Friday, Jenny told us: "I was asked to do the Run Balmoral 08 and I was thinking no sweat, I can do that – I’ll run for Cash for Kids, raise money and complete the 10k. This was about three months ago and up until a month ago my training consisted of a diet of white chocolate chip muffins, Carlsberg and Nutella on toast."
