Ex-Heart DJ joins Torbay RSL

Former Heart Torbay Drivetime presenter Rick Edwards is joining a new community radio station in Torbay and South Devon to host breakfast.

Riviera FM will operate on a two week licence from 13th to 26th September, aiming to fill the local radio gap left by Heart / Gemini FM.

The afternoon drive show will be hosted by Liam Gilsenan and Frankie Floris, and there's specialist programming from 6pm each weekday evening including a 50's show, country music, health show, food, soft rock and more.

The theme for the Restricted Service Licence is Agatha Christie Week, which runs in Torbay during the first week.

The station has been on-air since March, broadcasting online only.
