Trafficlink opens doors for Masterclass

Trafficlink is joining together with Sound Women and the Radio Academy for a Masterclass weekend on travel news.

The three will offer a detailed insight into how traffic and travel news is gathered and distributed to the radio industry.

Andrea Day, Trafficlink’s Training and Communications Manager along with Amy Lewis, the Manager of the Northern England office will take delegates through how information is collated, published and broadcast. The day will finish with a tour of the studios in Trafficlink’s Northern England office which will be in full operation over the weekend.

Anyone can apply to attend and those from under represented ethnic, gender or other groups in the radio industry are especially encouraged to apply.

Amy told RadioToday.co.uk: “We are committed to finding great radio talent to work for Trafficlink from all walks of life. Passing on some of our skills in this Masterclass with support from the Radio Academy and Sound Women is a new way for us to work with people looking to find out more about the industry. There is so much more behind collating and broadcasting travel news than many people think, these sessions will be a real insight into the skills and technology used behind the scenes”.

Closing date for applications is this Wednesday (7th December, at 11am) and successful applicants will be informed by email by Friday 9th December. Click here for full details.

The event takes place on Saturday 17th December/Sunday 18th December.
