Chris Moyles will host his last breakfast show on BBC Radio 1 on Friday September 14th 2012, with a leaving party planned for the night before.
Incoming morning host Nick Grimshaw will take over the show more than a week later on Monday 24th September.
The dates were announced by Moyles on Twitter with Radio 1’s press office following up the start dates for Nick so it’s not known who will present the show for the week in between.
It was announced in July that Chris would be stepping down from the high-profile show after 9 years. He is contracted to the station until 2014, and it’s not known at this stage where on the schedule he will move to.
So the @ChrisMoylesShow goodbye party show will be Thursday 13th September and the final morning show ever will be Friday 14th September.
