Suspended Radio Sheffield presenter Toby Foster will be back on-air Monday morning after a six week break.
Tony disappeared suddenly after sending a number of tweets about his work environment, including one which called his manager a cu*t.
A spokesman said: “Toby has apologised to both BBC staff and listeners for inappropriate tweets he sent before Christmas.
“The BBC has accepted that apology and he’ll be back presenting the ‘Toby Foster at Breakfast’ programme on BBC Radio Sheffield from Monday.”
Toby also wrote on his Facebook page to confirm the news: “Hi folks, I’m sorry there has been silence from me and the radio station about why I’ve not been presenting the breakfast programme.
“Just before Christmas you’ll know I made some comments on social media which were totally unfounded and one in particular was offensive.
“I’ve apologised to everyone here at BBC Radio Sheffield and between us we’re looking forward to moving on and bringing you the best breakfast show we can. See you on Monday from 7am. Toby.”
Toby also returned to TV this week as a presenter on Inside Out for the Yorkshire and Lincolnshire areas. He took over the breakfast show on BBC Radio Sheffield in 2007 after a schedule shuffle at the station.
Radio Sheffield sports editor Paul Walker has been sitting in for Toby on the morning show since the suspension.
