There’s a new weekend schedule at Bauer’s Place Portfolio stations, as Paddy McGuinness joins for a networked weekend show.
The comedian will host “Paddy’s Sunday Dinner” across 16 stations in Northern England and Scotland from 9am till midday each week starting October 5th, replacing what is currently a local or regional show.
Other changes include a networked Friday Night Floor Fillers with former Capital presenter James Barr, from 7pm till 10pm, Boogie and Dingo extending from Scotland each Saturday morning from 9am till midday to cover the North, and Old Skool and Anthems with Graeme Park each Saturday 6-10pm (except on Cylde 1) will replace current local programming.
The weekday In:Demand show with Stu Tolan will air Sunday to Thursday, and Kate Lawler will move from Sunday afternoons to Sunday night, extending her weekday late show. Alan Robson will continue his Late show on Metro/TFM.
Bauer has recently re-introduced regional overnight shows as a “vehicle to attract and develop new talent”.
Commenting on the changes, Owen Ryan, Group Content Director, Bauer Place North of England and Scotland said, “Our new our weekend line-up signals a fresh new era for the Place Portfolio. It follows extensive research and delivers locally relevant shows mirroring the lives of our listeners in their local area, alongside the best UK wide talent, stars and entertainment shows to engage and excite our audiences when our audiences want them most on the weekends.”
