James Brownlow joins Juice FM Liverpool

Former Capital FM London programmer James Brownlow is joining UTV Media’s Juice FM as Content Director.

He will be responsible for all programming and talent, both on air and across the station’s digital platforms.

James has worked in radio for over 20 years including eight years as a Programme Director at stations including Galaxy Manchester & North East plus XFM.

James Brownlow said: “There is something very special happening with this radio station. It really does stand out as a destination for the best music and entertainment in this city, and beyond. After spending lots of time with the team at UTV Media, whose ambitions for Juice as a station and brand are extremely exciting, it really was something I just felt I had to be a part of.”

James has been self-employed since leaving Capital FM in 2012.

Graham Sarath, Station Director for Juice FM, said: “I’m delighted that Juice has been able to attract someone of the calibre of James. He’s taken brands to number one is similar competitive markets and Juice is now perfectly placed to do the same in Liverpool. It’s been a huge few years for Juice but the future is even more exciting.”

Terry Underhill, Group Programme Director for UTV Media (GB) says: “We have some really exciting plans for Juice FM in Liverpool and with James’ outstanding track record in UK radio we’re delighted he’s joining us to help take the station to the next level.”
