Swansea Bay Radio returns to South Wales

Nation Hits is rebranding back to its original name Swansea Bay Radio and its parent company is undergoing a brand refresh.

The station launched in November 2006 on 102.1FM and shortly afterwards shortened its name to Bay Radio. It changed to Nation 80s in 2012 then to Nation Hits in 2013.

Owner Town and Country Broadcasting is also changing its name and image. The group has changed its name to Nation Broadcasting and has new logos for all its stations.

Martin Mumford, Managing Director for the group tells RadioToday: “Swansea Bay Radio is back from 6am on Tuesday 1 March 2016 – website will also launch then at swanseabayradio.wales and we will also have new audio imaging for Bridge FM and Swansea Bay Radio.

“There are no changes to the format, programming or programme line-up on the station.”
