Five applications have been submitted to Ofcom for the recently advertised Exeter licence. However, one of the applications was considered invalid as it failed to comply with the published guidelines. This is the first time an application has been publicly rejected since Ofcom was formed.
The four remaining bids come from London Media (owners of Time FM and Sunrise), Macquarie, Laser Broadcasting and Your Radio which is made up of a local board of directors.
