With just hours to go before the new Swindon radio station launches, Brunel FM has confirmed to RadioToday.co.uk their main presentation line up. Tony Dibbin will present Breakfast between 6am and 10am weekdays. Tony has presented programmes around the UK for the last 13 years including a stint with the national station Atlantic 252.
Damian Pickett will be presenting Drivetime from 2-6pm. Damian is no stranger to the airwaves in Swindon having presented programmes, traffic reports and events for the past 6 years. "I am so excited to be part of the team launching Brunel FM because I believe this is the station that Swindon?s been waiting for".
Phil Stocks joins to present the Morning show from 10am to 2pm and has a wealth of experience most recently with Brunel FM?s sister station in Dorchester, Wessex FM. James Martin will present Brunel FM?s evening show from 6pm to 10pm. James has just graduated University and can?t wait to get behind the microphone on the only evening show broadcast from and dedicated to Swindon.
Also in the launch line-up two local broadcasters, Dave Barrett who makes a welcome return to the airwaves on Sunday mornings from 8am and Ian Timms who will present Saturday Breakfast. Making her radio debut to cover Swindon Town FC?s season with home and away match reports on Brunel FM is die-hard Robins? fan Marie Saunders. Matt Vaughan presents Saturday Daytime and joining Brunel FM from the former digital station Swindon FM are Simon Hawkins and Alan Ford.
Spearheading the project is Station Manager, Martin Mumford who told us: ?Brunel FM has assembled a broadcast team with decades of radio experience and predominantly drawn from the local community. We just can?t wait to start!?
107.7 Brunel FM will broadcast 24 hours a day, on air on 107.7FM and online at brunelfm.com from Saturday 2nd September at 10am.
