Ryan Seacrest joins FM 107.9

Recently launched Oxford’s FM 1079 has just signed up a market exclusive deal to broadcast Ryan Seacrest’s American Top 40 in Oxford. It's the first FM station in the UK to re-transmit the show, which attracts top guests such as Madonna, Justin Timberlake and Beyonce.

Oxford's FM 1079 is wholly by Absolute Radio International who are no strangers to American radio, having formed a partnership with Phil Dowse in May 2006, and are currently bidding for the Liverpool and Oxford licence with the Jack FM format, which is popular in the States.

Programme Director Ian Walker says “as part of our innovative new on-air schedule,
American Top 40 gives Oxford's FM107.9 another world class programme, already
being broadcast across every American state, as well as Australia and New Zealand”
American Top 40 can be heard each Saturday afternoon at 1pm and repeated each
Sunday morning at breakfast on Oxford’s Fm 1079 proudly sponsored by new Oxford
