The Local Radio Company has added an extra 21,000 listeners to its network of stations in the latest RAJAR figures released today for Quarter 3, 2006.
The group now has 891,000 listeners compared with 870,000 in Q2, whilst the total listening hours have dropped to 6.7 million from 7.1 million three months ago.
Commenting on the figures, Richard Wheatly, Chief Executive of TLRC, said: “We are delighted that for the second consecutive quarter our number of listeners has increased. Over the past six months our audiences have risen by 6%. We are particularly pleased that our recently launched station, Durham FM, has seen a significant increase in total listening hours.”
Figures exclude Win FM which was disposed of on 5 September 2006.
