British R&B singer Lemar is set to play an exclusive live gig at Maida Vale for BBC digital radio station 1Xtra.
Lemar's set will be broadcast in a special one-hour programme, performing tracks from his recently released album The Truth About Love on Saturday 14 October 2006 at 7.00pm.
On Monday 16 October, digital TV viewers will be able to press the red button for exclusive behind the scenes footage from the gig, with a Lemar interview, backstage gossip, as well as the show itself.
One hundred lucky 1Xtra and Radio 1 competition winners will see the show through a series of giveaways being run on both stations. Laura Lukanz, Head Of Music 1Xtra, said: "We're really excited that we're able to give Lemar fans from 1Xtra and Radio 1 a chance to catch Lemar in what promises to be a very special live show."
Lemar added: "I'm really looking forward to playing this intimate show for 1Xtra and performing tracks from my new album. I'm a big 1Xtra fan so that makes the show even more exciting for me!"
