Emap has appointed Iain Clasper, managing director of Hallam FM and Magic AM to the new role of Big City Commercial Director. The new responsibilities will be in addition to his current role at the Sheffield stations.
Iain will be working with the 32 stations in the network to provide support and co-ordination between them and the national radio sales teams at Emap Advertising.
His priorities will include: further audience and revenue development of the Big City web sites; working with the Emap Advertising team to develop research and insight initiatives to support national revenue development and overseeing the network’s improved sponsorship and promotions delivery.
Travis Baxter, Big City Network Managing Director, said: “This role is intended to create the smoothest possible interface between the 32 stations in Big City and Emap Advertising as we work to grow national advertising revenue.”
Iain will be working closely with the team headed up by Sue Timson, Emap Radio Group Sales Director to ensure alignment between the various revenue streams of Big City.
