Daily Madness at Virgin Radio

Madness frontman Suggs is set to take over the afternoon show on Virgin Radio. The move is part of a larger reshuffle at the station which sees Ben Jones move to drivetime, Geoff Lloyd move to evenings and Martin Collins leave the station.

''Afternoon Tea with Suggs'' will air each weekday from 2 till 4pm, whilst the Saturday Night Party Classics Show continues as normal.

Ben Jones will host drivetime from 4 till 8pm, and Geoff Lloyd moves to the 8pm till midnight slot with ''The Geoff Show''.

“Having a national treasure like Suggs as a daytime DJ is a massive coup for Virgin Radio,” said Paul Jackson, Programme Director at Virgin Radio. “Suggs has proved to be one of the most popular DJs on UK radio and our listeners simply can’t get enough of him. This reshuffle means we’ve got top quality DJ talent right the way around the clock from Christian O’Connell at Breakfast to Geoff Lloyd in the evening slot.

2006 has been a great year for the station and with one of the strongest line ups in its history 2007 is set to be even better.”

These changes will take effect from 2nd January 2007.
