GCap Media has approached former SMG chief executive to run its entire London operations and take a position on the board, according to a report in the Daily Telegraph. The new position would see her in charge of Capital Radio, plus Xfm and Choice.
'With her background at Yahoo! and Virgin, she's probably just what GCap need at Capital," Lorna Tilbian, of Numis Securities told the newspaper.
GCap declined to comment and Ms Hazlitt did not return calls.
