From bumping into old friends to hearing Tony Blackburn's latest jokes, the Arqivas are the place to be for commercial radio stations each summer. And this year was no exception.
What more could you want from an afternoon in the company of fellow radio colleagues. RadioCentre put on another great show with live music from Travis and Chungking, food in the form of Guinea Fowl and Strawberry Cheesecake, and a warming speech from Emap's managing director Andria Vidler which sent host Christian O'Connell into fits of laughter.
talkSPORT arrived hoping for at least one award – but walked away with four, including Station of the Year and Gold Award. I don't think any one of the 500+ guests saw that coming, let alone talkSPORT boss Scott Taunton who was very pleased with the recognition.
