The Lincs FM Group has purchased Oak 107 FM from CN Group, RadioToday.co.uk can reveal. This latest addition brings the total number of stations owned by the growing group to nine. Oak will work closely with the group's other Leicestershire based station, Fosseway Radio.
Oak 107FM launched in 1999, backed by the Loughborough Echo newspaper but was later bought by CN Group. The station's Format currently allows shared programmes with CN's Touch network, and is required to produce at least 16 hours a day locally. CN have not announced how much the station was sold for, and have not replied to RadioToday.co.uk's request for further details.
Lincs FM Group owns Compass FM, Dearne FM, Fosseway Radio, Lincs FM, Ridings FM, Rother FM, Rutland Radio and Trax FM,
