Future of Radio delayed

The much anticipated Future of Radio consultation results, which were due to be released by Ofcom shortly, have been delayed till later in the year. The delay follows a higher than anticipated volume of responses from the industry.

The radio industry is awaiting radical regulatory changes from Ofcom. Once the publication is released, the industry could see relaxed rules on items such as co-location, formats and networking.

Ofcom received over 140 responses to its consultation and extra time has been required to give due consideration to the high volume of responses, the regulator told RadioToday.co.uk this morning.
