GCap Media has won the new local digital multiplex for the Northamptonshire area. NOWdigital will provide nine commercial services, including current stations Northants 96, Gold, Connect FM. Xfm will launch in the area along with UCB and Jack FM. BBC Radio Northampton will also feature.
A syndicated adult contemporary service will be provided, with the actual station still to be confirmed. The Highways Agency will operate a local version of Traffic Radio, and Sabras Sound will cater for the local Asian communities.
Jack FM will operate for 18 hours a day from 6am till midnight, and will be a similar service to Oxfordshire's JACK fm and will include some local news and information.
An alternative bid from MuxCo proposed a similar line up, with Easy Radio as the AC service.
