Central Television presenter Joanne Malin is to join BBC WM as the new mid-morning show host. She will co-host the last hour of the breakfast show before taking over solo from 10am till midday.
Joanne launched her broadcasting career on a work experience placement at the Birmingham station and is looking forward to getting back to her roots: "I’m really excited and looking forward to the challenge of starting a new radio programme. It’s great to be back at the station which gave me my first broadcasting break 15 years ago,” she said.
She will leave her television job at the end of October.
Current mid-morning host Ed Doolan, who has been with the BBC for 27 years, is moving to a new lunchtime programme.
