More rugby for Yorkshire Radio

Yorkshire Radio has agreed a new 12-month commentary deal with the Rugby Football League for engage Super league XV.

It means the station will be doubling the number of live games broadcast from 20 to 40 during the 2010 season.

The new ‘Super League Live’ show will be hosted by Richard Stead with guest summarisers including Andy Raleigh, Danny McGuire, Ryan McGoldrick and Wayne Godwin with shows across the weekend covering games featuring Yorkshire based teams.

There will also be a weekly preview show on a Thursday at 6pm looking ahead to the Super League weekend.

Ben Fry, station director of Yorkshire Radio told RadioToday.co.uk: “We are delighted to commit to another year of Super League commentary and by doubling the number of games we cover we are giving our listeners even more live rugby league than ever before.”
