Ofcom has re-awarded two commercial radio station licences to the current licensees.
Tower FM in Bolton/Bury, and Mansfield 103.2 were both re-awarded under the fast-track process as no other company expressed an interest in competing for the licences.
In other news, four year extensions have been granted to a number of ILR stations. They are Midwest Radio, Buzz Asia, KMFM West Kent, Metro and Magic in the North East, and London Turkish Radio.
One of the stations, Buzz Asia, which broadcasts to London on 972 and 969 AM, recently also had a Content Sampling Report following a breach of licence last September. This time round, Ofcom found the station to be operating within its Format.
