Bauer's south coast station Wave 105 is getting ready to put on what it's calling 'The south's biggest ever general knowledge quiz'.
The station's running several heats in Eastleigh, Bournemouth and Portsmouth to find 45 teams to make it through to the grand final where there'll be prizes totalling around £2,000 on offer.
Programme Controller Andy Shier told us: "We ran ‘the south’s biggest ever music quiz’ a couple of years ago which went down well, so we thought we’d slightly ‘revamp’ the format and try a general knowledge quiz this time. There are a few incentives for those taking part including £1,000 for first prize, £500 for second prize and £250 for the third prize, plus a few spot prizes too, so hopefully we’ll get a few people coming down to have a go."
Each evening will be made up of a range of general knowledge questions, interspersed with some fun rounds inspired by some of the regular Wave 105 features including, the Golden Hour and Telly Addicts. Teams of up to five people are being charged £50 per team to enter the heats, although there's no charge for the final for teams that qualify.
