New Northeast MD for Bauer

Bauer Media has appointed Cath Ellington as Regional Managing Director, North East, to lead local radio stations Metro Radio, CFM and TFM.

Cath has spent the majority of her 22-year career at Bauer in the North East, working at Metro in several operational roles and at TFM, where she was Station MD before moving to manage Bauer’s radio charities Cash for Kids in 2007.

In a parallel move, Sally Aitchison will step across from the role of Regional MD, North East and take on the Group-wide position of Managing Director, Cash for Kids.

Sally started her 29 year career at TFM across various roles and departments before moving to Metro Radio in 2001 as MD. In 2006, she was promoted to Regional MD, North East, running Metro Radio, CFM and TFM.

Cath and Sally will both continue to report into Dee Ford, Bauer Media’s Group MD of Radio, who said:

I know Cath is really looking forward to returning to an operational role and working closely with the station teams and our Clients in the North East. Her wealth of experience will be invaluable as we continue to obsess about our products and strive to grow the business.
